District Councillor (Member’s) small grant fund

Did you know that you have two District Councillors and that each of them has a personal fund of £500 from Broadland District Council which they can allocate to good causes within this ward?

There are certain Terms and Conditions attached and the main ones are as follows:

Grants must be between £50 – £500
They are usually made to a group rather than to an individual
These grants cannot be made retrospectively
They must not be used for routine maintenance work
Funding could not easily be found elsewhere
The group must not have received member-led funding in the past two years.

In recent years, some of the donations across Broadland went to Older Persons’ groups, Scouts, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, and one Under 7s football team who bought Touchline Shelters.

If you belong to a group who might appreciate extra help from your District Council as outlined above, or alternatively, if you think you would like to create a new group from scratch and need a small injection of cash to get you started, this may well be the place to try.

If you think we can help, please get in touch with Cllr Jan Davis, Cllr Eleanor Laming
